Voice Logistics started out in the automobile factory in the late 80's. It has come a long way since them. Today, voice is used to control military vehicles, manage docks and trailer yards and, yes, help people move products in distribution centers. Voice is not limited to order selection tasks. Just about anything you can do with an RF terminal, you can do more quickly and easily with a voice terminal. Exceptions are data intensive tasks that involve bar code scanning, but even these can be facilitate with voice by connecting a scanner to the voice unit. This video will show you a few common voice applications other than picking.
